The Best Dang Chocolate Pie you ever et…

tasty and
delightful and only takes a half hour to make (and another hour to
cool in the fridge)...

 

Ingredients:

1 large pack of jello chocolate pudding (the kind you cook, not the
instant.  screw the instant. the instant sucks)
2 cups whole milk (don't even think of using lowfat milk for chocolate
pie. chocolate pie is high-fat by definition)
1 cup heavy cream
1 handful of Ghirardelli 60% cacao chocolate chips (you can substitute
nestle semi sweet chocolate, either works fine)
1 Oreo pie crust, or 12 small graham cracker mini-crusts.
 
Making the pie:
 
First, throw away the instructions on the box of pudding.  Then, put
the milk, heavy cream, chocolate chips and pudding mix into a pot and
start stirring over medium heat.  Keep stirring constantly until the
pudding is visibly boiling, then stir 5 minutes more.  Turn off the
heat, stir for one more minute, then pour into pie crust. Cover and
refrigerate immediately. Eat when cool.
