Tater Gumfries 1951 - 20** Tater thought he ought to write his eulogy now, so it gets did right at least once. Tater was a man tried to do right, but didn't always succeed. It was too often he only thought about hisself, forgot to pay his debts, slighted folks that just needed a little encouragement to get it right, or kept the best under his pillow or in the shed. On the other hand, he grilled up a lot of sausages and steak, and never shorted nobody when their glass needed fillin. Tater helped his friends and neighbors lift them things needed liftin, and hardly ever lied about bein sick. Far as the gals go, he loved em as good as he could, and when he couldn't he let em go with no fuss. All in all, the world was probably a little better on account of Tater.
