Kern's Holler Contrarian Recipes

Pantiera's Sweet Cinnamon Irish Soda Biscuits

I fucking hate trying to make yeast based breads, so I've been fucking around with the traditional irish soda bread recipes and improving them, because I'm badass like that, and because they're kinda bland
and I don't want to add raisins but you can add raisins to this because cinnamon and raisins go together but I don't have any raisins.

It's really fucking easy.

3 cups white flour
3 tablespoons sugar (or splenda, whatever, I don't discriminate)
2 tablespoons baking powder

extremely generous amount of cinnamon (i didn't measure)
pinch of salt
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons vinegar

1. preheat oven to 360 degrees
2. add all the dry ingredients together in a big bowl and sift (or mix it around with your hands)
3. add the wet ingredients together first, then add to the dry
4. knead it around with your hands, add water or flour until it's just a little bit sticky
5. divide into 4-6 parts on a floured cookie sheet and cut an "x" fairly deep into each biscuit
6. sprinkle with flour and cinnamon, bake 30 minutes
7. eat the hell out of 'em!
